IT WAS A GLITZ AND GLAM AFFAIR AS THE EYANGO GIRLS SHOWCASE THEIR LATEST COLLECTION.

The Eyango girls were in town to showcase their latest collection. Mina and Kamala Eyango, founders of fashion brand Lavillenoire, held a pop-up shop for their latest collection. The collection was made up of fabulous, easy flowy and bold prints.   The event which was held at Topish Shop in Bastos, Yaounde, was attended by socialites and fashionistas alike. Also in attendance were the legendary Dedi Eyango(Mina and Kamala’s father) and Cameroonian MUA, Shaitou Cho, who was the make-up artist for the ladies. It was definitely a fabulous turnout at the half Cameroonian/ half Sri Lankan sisters’ fashion event. You glow girls!ūüĖ§ūüĖ§              ...
FOUNDER OF TOOSHAI FACES TALKS BEAUTY, BULLYING AND STRENGTH WITH NEW PHOTOSHOOT.

FOUNDER OF TOOSHAI FACES TALKS BEAUTY, BULLYING AND STRENGTH WITH NEW PHOTOSHOOT.

Bullying can scar one for life. To overcome it leaves you powerful, superhuman powerful…ask Shaitou Cho, founder of¬† Tooshai Faces. The popular MUA recently shared a powerful message on her facebook¬† page, on how she overcame bullying. When I was younger I was bullied about my protruding forehead, and I grew up thinking it was a problem, so I always chose hairstyles that will cover it up. But curiously this bullying made me strong because I adopted and accepted all the nicknames that were levied on me because of this head. Ask my classmates and school mates and teachers from PSS Bafut,¬†Eric Forbi Forbi,¬†Yenih Ngwabo¬†LI LI Forkum¬†Mboka Ndeh¬†Nelson Ndeh¬†Golda K. Ajode¬†Sylvia Yenwong-fai¬†Malaika Nain Ngole¬†Adjeley Yobo¬†Solange Fonkem¬†Beryl Litil Nubed-Tchuetie¬†Lorraine Ndingwan¬†it was just fun time for all of us. In the end I realised this was the most beautiful part of my body and what always made my looks stand out. I knew once you could love yourself and accept yourself as you are, no one will make you feel different, because God created you as you are in a unique way. So I”unveiled” the head¬†ūüėāūüėā, if you can say that and started enjoying everything about me. To all of us who do body shaming, give love a chance, and to all those who don’t love something about themselves, know that you were created by God in a unique way and you are here to serve a purpose. Use everything you have and be the best you can be. Let people like Nick Vujicic, Turia Pitt, Muniba Mazari and a host of others be your inspiration. How powerful is this? Sinchang...

GLITTER QUEENS: KIM KARDASHIAN AND BEYONCE.

Kim Kardashian broke the internet again¬†today with her latest post. The reality star/Business woman¬†announced¬†her soon-to-be-released ultralight beams highlighters and glosses from her KKW¬†beauty line by posting a half naked picture of¬†herself, covered in body glitter. The shimmering beauty products will be launched on the 1st of December on her KKW beauty website. With Christmas being all about shimmers, I’m guessing these products would fly off the shelves like turkey on Christmas eve. Kim sure knows the¬†stack up money¬†game. Keep growing…keep glowing gurl! Anywhooo…when I saw this on her Instagram page, it instantly reminded me of the 2013 Flaunt magazine cover of Beyonc√© in which she also posed half naked covered in body glitter. What’s better than one curvalicious, glittericious woman…TWO! Both ladies are body glitter...
YW COVERSTAR: EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH EBANGHA NJANG.

YW COVERSTAR: EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH EBANGHA NJANG.

She can easily be confused for a model with her striking looks and her signature androgynous fabulous style. So…are these some of the factors that make Ebangha Njang standout? It was her media presence that first caught my attention. On Facebook and Twitter, she was always going hard, promoting Cameroonian artists. It was really refreshing to see the love and support she was pouring into the Cameroon music industry. How could one not notice? Around the time we were gearing up for our next Coverstar feature, I received a message from Ebangha “Hello I’ve been following your blog for a while now. I think y’all amazing.” At that moment, I felt she was a genie and had just granted my wish because little did she know that she was at the top of the few people we had in mind to be featured on the next cover. We immediately took that as a sign and viol√†! YW’s latest coverstar. Yvonne Ebangha Njang was born and raised in Douala and Ed√©a respectively. Her dad( who worked with the Ministry of Agriculture) and her mum( a Housewife), instilled discipline and the fear of God in her and five siblings at very young ages. Being a close knit family, her childhood was filled with fun family times, including relaxing by the River Sanaga, watching favourite cartoons and attending church on Sundays. That makes for an exciting childhood, doesn’t it? But it wasn’t exactly the same when it came to her teenage years. “My teenage years didn’t mean much to me honestly. I know it’s hard to believe lol but i was a...

YW COVERSTAR: EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH JOAN NGOMBA…PART TWO.

¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬†PART TWO. ¬†YW¬†Thanks Joan for granting YW this interview. Please introduce yourself to the readers. Who’s Joan Ngomba? JN¬†The pleasure is all mine Yenih. My name is Joan Ngomba. I’m a Media Personality in Cameroon. I’m founder of¬†www.dcodedtv.com¬†and producer/host of an upcoming urban entertainment TV show called DCODED TV Show. Both platforms are created to promote and celebrate entertainment and entertainers in/from Cameroon. YW You said media was never in your plans. You studied History and Archaeology at the University of Buea. What were your career plans? JN I wanted to be a historian. I love history and how I use it to tell stories or solve today’s problems. But when I left UB, my dreams changed. I was hit with a tragedy that changed my life plans. I just found myself loving and aspiring to be into media. YW¬†You moved to Nigeria after a very sad event that happened to your family and it was there that you realised you wanted to work in radio. Tell us how that came about? JN I lost my 17-yr-old sister to a fatal car accident in 2007. An incident which left me suicidal and completely confused. I lost the zeal to be alive. So I resigned from my job as a Personal Assistant to Mr. Ewane Ngaaje, DG of JENS Productions Ltd (An Architecture Company in Limbe) and told myself there’s no reason to work when there was no reason to be alive. However, I had some friends...
